More than 40 years experience in oak frames
With over 100 projects completed and over 50 homes designed, we’ve got the experience to help you maximise the future value of your project.
At Heritage Oak Frames we want our clients to feel valued, involved and confident from the first point of contact. We fully appreciate that undertaking a project isn’t just a financial commitment but a decision that will be a part of our clients everyday lives for many years to come.
To that end we take great care in keeping communication as open as we can, ensuring that our clients are kept informed at all times throughout the development and offer a point of contact that can provide information, be a sounding block or just offer reassurance.
Whether you have full architectural drawings, a sketch or just an idea in your head our expert team will ascertain the details needed to provide you with an initial drawing and detailed quote.
Providing you are happy with all aspects a would like to proceed, a structural engineer will ensure that all elements have been considered. Our team will then work with you to establish the final details and set out a programme of works that will endeavour to mesh with any other undertakings and meet your timetable.
With a lead time of between 4 – 8 weeks from designs being agreed, we will begin to work on the frame. All our frames are crafted and pre-assembled off site so that we are confident there will be no hidden surprise later on. As a result, disruption at your property is kept to a minimum. Our clients are welcome to come down to our workshop and see their project being brought to life!
Whether we are delivering an oak frame kit or installing the frame ourselves, we work hard to ensure installation dates are met and always keep our customers across all aspects of each detail.
Once the frame is in place or glazing has been fitted, our expert team will provide you with all the advice and guidance you need to ensure that your investment is there for generations to come.
Even before the need for businesses, and all of us in general, to be more conscious of our impact on the environment was in the spotlight, Heritage Oak Frame have been very mindful of how we work and how we can minimise our carbon output. As individuals we take great interest in new ways of working and living that minimise our daily impact, we don’t just talk the talk.
Our commitment to traditional methods and techniques vastly reduces our energy output as a company. Waste is rare at Heritage Oak Frames, we are constantly look at ways to use and reuse materials whilst constantly researching materials that are made with the environment at their core.
Simply by choosing a timber frame, you are using not only a fully sustainable building material but one that is relatively low in energy to produce compared to steel, brick or concrete. Oak in particular captures a huge amount of carbon and it remains sequested within the frame for the life of the building and beyond.
We pride ourselves in sourcing our timber from certified timber merchants who have needed to prove that they source either PEFC or FSC certified timber. Furthermore we have sourced timber from local foresters who manage their crops in an environmentally responsible manner. This also reduces the carbon output of transportation.
